STENRÖS
(2024)

Every year since 2012 I have built a cairn next to the fireplace by the beach on the island Volot, where my grandfather built a summer home for our family. The cairn is built leaning against a tree by the water where we sit by the fire in the evenings. Every year when it is time to fish we each throw a small rock aiming at it for luck. If you hit it, you would catch a fish or more. If you missed you were out of luck that day and would not catch anything. It works, or at least I believe it. During the harsh winters it usually falls apart due to the stormy winds, but it is rebuilt in the summer months when I visit.
